Total Wound Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide in-home wound care services across North Texas. This role requires a motivated LPN who is willing to travel and drive any distance as needed to reach patients. If you are passionate about patient care and enjoy working independently in diverse settings, this position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing healthcare team
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform in-home wound assessments, administer treatments, and change dressings for patients in various locations.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to create and execute personalized care plans.
- Educate patients and caregivers on wound management, care protocols, and preventive techniques.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, progress, and communication using EMR systems
- Provide compassionate care while building rapport with patients and their families.
- Willingness to drive any distance as requested, ensuring all patients receive timely and consistent care.
Qualifications:
- Current and active LPN license in Texas.
- 1-2 years of experience in wound care, home health, or a related field.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in EMR systems or willingness to learn.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record..
- Flexibility and commitment to travel long distances within Oklahoma to provide care.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Wound care certification (WCC or similar) is a plus.
- Experience in home health or wound care settings.
