Wound Care Nurse Practitioner/ or Physician Assistant

Multiple Locations (Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Arkansas) • Full-time • BOE (Based On Experience

Total Wound Care is seeking a skilled and compassionate Wound Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing team. This role focuses on delivering expert wound care services to patients in senior living facilities and home care settings. As a key member of our clinical team, you will provide comprehensive wound management, collaborate with other healthcare professionals, and contribute to positive patient outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:

- Provide expert wound care management, including debridement, negative pressure wound therapy, and advanced dressing application.

- Conduct thorough patient evaluations and develop personalized treatment plans to promote wound healing.

- Perform bedside wound care procedures in both facility and in-home settings.

- Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and case managers to ensure coordinated care and optimal patient outcomes.

- Accurately document patient encounters, assessments, and treatment plans in the electronic medical record system (Dr. Chronos).

- Stay informed on the latest wound care protocols and treatment advancements.

- Educate patients and caregivers on wound management, prevention, and ongoing care.

- Uphold the mission of Total Wound Care by delivering compassionate, high-quality care, particularly in underserved communities.


Qualifications:

- Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with an active, unencumbered license.

- At least 3 years of experience in wound care or a related clinical field.

- Wound care certification (WCC, CWON, CWS) preferred.

- Expertise in wound debridement, negative pressure wound therapy, and other advanced wound care techniques.

- Strong ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.

- Proficiency in electronic medical records (Dr. Chronos experience preferred).

- Valid, unrestricted driver's license.
